i'm sorry for what i said when it was winter
i am pretty ornery when i'm cold. growing up in arizona, anything less than sixty degree will send a shiver down my spine and a frown to my face. many a time, sweet brandtly has asked "what's wrong? you look mega pissed", to which i will respond, "nothing. i'm fine. just cold."
NEEDLESS TO SAY, i am a happy camper (but not really a camper, because dirt and indoor plumbing) (haha just kidding i like camping) when the snow starts melting and the blossoms start blooming. i am even happier when i can bask in the sun. and i am the HAPPIEST when i am 1) with my beautiful, healthy, growing, amazing baby and 2) we are both in kortni jeane swimmers!!
i was able to do a fun lil' interview with the KJ team all about being a mom. I'M A MOM! weird. you can find the full interview here! participating in this interview was so rewarding because i was able to really reflect on my new life calling (I WILL NEVER NOT BE A MOM) and document this sweet time of being brand new to motherhood.
guys, it is so much fun. i absolutely love sweet storie and hanging out with her 24/7. i love learning more about her and i love waking her up first thing in the morning. i love talking to someone all day... even though the conversation is rather one-sided. i love putting her to sleep in her crib and giggling in the next room over with brandtly, snuggling and shushing each other because "WE'RE GOING TO WAKE THE BABY!!!!" i love watching her do tummy time because she always raises her eyebrows and makes her forehead all pudgy (i have a forehead fetish :/ maybe more on that later, but probably not). i love the spit up, the diaper changes, and the uncommon but inevitable fits she throws that only i can soothe. i love being depended on. i love being a mom!
all photos taken by the wonderful analise porter! she is local to utah county and got these pics back to me lickety-split. thanks, gal!
